Polidoro Editore is an independent Italian publishing house founded in Naples in 2013 by Alessandro Polidoro.

For more than a decade, we have published contemporary literary fiction from Italy and around the world, with a particular focus on voices that challenge geographical, cultural and linguistic boundaries. Our catalogue brings together established and emerging authors whose work engages critically with the contemporary world while remaining accessible to a broad readership.

Over the years, we have introduced Italian readers to some of the most significant voices in contemporary international literature, including Mónica Ojeda, Diamela Eltit, Juan Cárdenas, Atef Abu Saif, Atieh Attarzadeh, Selva Almada and Camila Fabbri, while also publishing leading Italian authors such as Monica Pareschi and Franca Cavagnoli.

Our editorial programme is organized around three main series: Interzona, dedicated to Italian fiction;
I Selvaggi, devoted to Spanish and Latin American literature; and Disorientanti, focused on contemporary writing from the Middle East and the Eastern Mediterranean.

Based in Southern Italy, we see publishing as a form of cultural exchange. Our work is driven by a commitment to discovering new literary voices, fostering dialogue across borders and building lasting relationships between different publishing traditions.
Polidoro regularly participates in major international publishing events, including the Frankfurt Book Fair, the London Book Fair, the Turin International Book Fair and Più Libri Più Liberi in Rome. We have also contributed to the organization of literary events in Italy, including Napoli Città Libro.

Today, we continue to expand our international activities by building long-term relationships with publishers, literary agents, translators and cultural institutions, with the aim of fostering the circulation of stories, authors and ideas across languages and borders.

Polidoro books are distributed throughout Italy by Messaggerie Libri.
